Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Lakers game preview

The Rockets travel to Los Angeles to take on Kobe Bryant and the Lakers.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Lakers have been the best medicine for the Rockets twice already this season. The Lakers are Houston's only 20-point wins this season and both have come when Houston badly needed a win.

Since the second matchup, the Lakers have quality wins over Denver, Boston, and New Orleans (all teams that have beaten Houston this season). But really, this game should belong to Houston. At this point the Lakers just don't have the overall talent to play with Houston on a consistent basis, especially if Houston is putting forth the effort.

Effort has usually been a problem for this Rockets squad, but I'm guessing that playing in Los Angeles and possibly going against Kobe Bryant means that Houston will bring its A game. Then they will need to regain their winning way as they complete a back-to-back tomorrow against the Clippers.

I've been talking with a buddy about a question that came up, and it's today's poll question. Also, let us know why you answered the way you answered in the comments section.

And instead of embedding it, I will just link to the WWE version of the "Howard Sucks!" chant (which obviously came first).

Tip-off is at 8:30pm CST.
