Rockets vs. Jazz game thread: Battered and bruised

The Rockets are significantly short-handed trying to beat the Jazz in a home-and-home

Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

The Rockets just beat the Jazz in Utah a few days ago. Yet now, their historical rival comes to town just later in the week, while the Rockets don't have the horses they did last time.

Dwight Howard is out with a back injury tonight after tweaking it at practice. Ty Lawson is suspended and gimpy on his ankle regardless. D-Mo has no timetable to return (again). K.J. McDaniels is in the D-League. RIP Sam Dekker.

Marcus Thornton should rejoin the team after the birth of his daughter and he should help. Not as much as the Jazz playing their JV squad because of their own injuries, but help. Maybe Montrezl Harrell can put this team on his back. We shall see.
