Rockets Surging in Power Rankings

The Rockets continue to impress and enter their road trip in the top-tier of the league.

The Houston Rockets (11-6) have established themselves among the elite teams in the NBA and are being recognized for it.

National media sites rank the Rockets as high as fourth in the league as the Rockets continue to progress and gel as a team.

ESPN reporter Marc Stein praises coach Mike D’Antoni and says that he should be considered for Western Conference Coach of the Month for the “huge impact his system has made” on James Harden and the team as a whole.

The Rockets have won five of their last six games, but face a tough road map ahead. Houston is set to match up with a frisky Utah Jazz team in Salt Lake City. They then take the trip to the Bay Area to face the best team in the league, the Golden State Warriors, and then play the Denver Nuggets the next day.

That’s three games in four days against three capable opponents. The next week will reveal how legitimate this Houston Rockets team really is.
