Pat Bev out tonight vs. Mavs

He suffered a left quad contusion last night vs. Suns

NBA: Houston Rockets at Memphis Grizzlies Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

According to multiple Rockets sources, Patrick Beverley will not play tonight vs. the Mavericks with a left thigh contusion. The injury was sustained in Monday’s win vs. the Suns. The injury occurred in the third quarter with the Rockets up double digits, so it was unclear if he was hurt or if he was benched by D’Antoni to keep his guys healthy. It was probably a mixture of both.

This is Beverley’s twelfth missed game this year and the Rockets are down another man tonight, leaving them with twelve healthy bodies for tonight’s game. Look for Tyler Ennis and possibly K.J. McDaniels to see a spike in minutes tonight.

Houston is only 6-5 without Beverley this season, so hopefully this is just a one-game injury for the Wolverine and hopefully this is just a one-game injury for the Wolverine and he will be back Friday to face the Clippers.
