It was a scary moment late in the fourth quarter when Eric Gordon and Patrick Beverley got tangled up going for a rebound. The end result was Gordon rolling his ankle (per Mike D'Antoni) and gingerly walking off the court heading into the locker room.
Don't fret. After the game, Gordon said he's OK and doesn't plan on missing Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Eric Gordon says he will practice tomorrow and play on Wednesday, not concerned at all #Rockets— Joshua Reese (@MrJoshua) December 6, 2016
Gordon does have a long injury history — he’s never played more than 64 games in a season and this is his 10th year in the league — but he showed no worry or concern over what happened to him late Monday night against the Boston Celtics.
Last year for the New Orleans Pelicans, Gordon was only able to play in 45 games. So far, he's half-way there, playing in the all of the Rockets 21 games.
While you may have freaked out as Gordon walked off and into the locker room, if he's not worried, you shouldn't be either.
