Patrick Beverley beat Brandon Knight in last year's Taco Bell Skills Challenge. But, he won't be defending his title in Toronto this weekend. League sources tell The Vertical that Bev will drop out of the competition because he tweaked his ankle in the Rockets game against Portland. He wants to use the break to rest.
And, we all know Adrian Wojnarowski is never wrong.
Here's last year's victory.
This year's skills challenge participants include Draymond Green, Anthony Davis, and DeMarcus Cousins. While you might think Bev would have had his work cut out for him in that group, he actually completed the course faster than anybody since Steve Nash and Deron Williams, according to the unofficial record.
