On Wednesday morning, Rockets power forward Terrence Jones was involved in a car accident while driving to the team plane, according to the Houston Chronicle. Jones checked into Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center.
More details of the crash are unknown but it looks like Jones will be just fine. Initial tests at the hospital were negative but Jones will stay overnight. He will not make the trip with the team to Phoenix for the Suns game on Thursday night.
This is not the first car accident Jones has been involved in. In 2011 when he was at University of Kentucky, he escaped unscathed from a two-car crash.

Without Jones, who is averaging 9.3 points and 4.5 rebounds in 22 minutes per game (all lowest since rookie season), Josh Smith will have to step up big time. Dwight Howard will return from his suspension on Thursday, but Clint Capela is listed as questionable. Expect Smith to step into the small ball center role he played so well on Tuesday.
