Rockets James Harden talks about his beard

The Starters' Trey Kerby, fellow bearded man, talks with The Beard about his beard.

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Houston Rockets guard James Harden is know for many things on the court: his euro step, three-point shot, and of course his beard. The Starters' Trey Kerby, a fellow marvelously bearded man, talked to Harden specifically about his beard:

One of the most glaring things we learned that James Harden doesn't even remember the last time he has completely shaved his face.

"No, I don't. It's been a long time. High school was the last time I saw my chin."

And why Harden started rocking the beard:

"In college, days go by -- it kind of gets longer. And you like 'Hey, I kind of like this look.'"

Harden enlightens us on who is allowed to trim the beard:

"I let my barber trim it. That is the only person I let trim. I'm too nervous to touch. If I clip or do something wrong, I'm going to be pissed at myself."

Harden also tells about how the beard feels:

"It's naturally soft."
