Rockets vs. Warriors Game 2 thread: Curry out

The Rockets hope for a better showing tonight against the Warriors with Steph Curry out due to an ankle injury

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

It was a rough Game 1, but it was hardly unexpected. But if there was ever a time to bounce back, this is it. The Warriors will be without Stephen Curry for tonight's tilt, as he sits due to ankle sprain he suffered in Game 1.

The Rockets have a real chance to snag some momentum on the Golden State home floor, though it is important to note that the Dubs beat the Rockets without Steph once already this year, snagging a 114-110 win in Houston back on New Year's Eve. Klay Thompson filled the void with 38 points in that game, and Draymond Green stepped up with a 10-11-16 triple dip, so we know who'll likely be asked to carry the load with Curry out.

The Rockets have a chance to show the NBA world they can snag some momentum before heading back home for two games. It's either that, or show they don't belong on the court even with a short-handed Warriors squad. Which one will it be?
