The NBA season is only two games old but Houston Rockets guard Chris Paul is taking a day off. Paul will sit out Thursday's game in Sacramento against the Kings with a bruised knee, reports the Houston Chronicle’s Chris Paul.

Paul, 32, was clearly hobbled in the Rocket’s opening night victory over the Golden State Warriors. He was not on the floor for much of the fourth quarter and didn’t finish the game when the Rockets completed the 122-121 comeback victory.
Paul had 4 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds in 33 minutes in game one. He was only 2-for-9 shooting.
Paul injured his left knee in a preseason game against the Grizzlies on Oct. 11 and didn't play in the in final preseason.
No word yet if Paul will need to sit out the Rocket’s home opener Saturday against the Mavericks. But it would probably be expected that Paul would at least play a few minutes in front of the home crowd.
