Originally, Paul’s injury was viewed to be an ankle injury that he suffered in Tuesday’s win against Golden State, but Feigen also reports that this injury stems from last Wednesday’s preseason game vs. the Memphis Grizzlies in a collision with Mario Chalmers.
Chris Paul bumped knees with Mario Chalmers in Memphis, sat out Wednesday in Sacramento.

Paul, 32, is in his 13th season in the NBA. He’s racked up some mileage and is going to be an integral part of this team all year long. To aggravate an injury now would be devastating for the team. The Rockets seem to be keeping these things precautionary so that he will be healthy in the long run.
Hopefully he will be able to play Monday against the Grizzlies, but his status past Saturday is totally up in the air as of now. Wishing CP3 a quick recovery.
