Knicks SBNation Blog: Posting and Toasting

The Rockets begin November with their first of two meetings this month against the rebuilding Knicks in their first regular season meeting.

The NBA was hoping that a Carmelo Anthony revenge storyline would dominate this game, but alas, it does not. The main storyline from this game is the Rockets trying to avoid losing their third game in a row.

Houston dropped two in a row after winning two consecutive road contests last week. Injuries hurt them in their loss to Memphis, but the team was mostly healthy with the exception of Chris Paul in Monday’s home loss to the 76ers.

The Rockets only dropped three consecutive games once last season in March in a stretch where they faced the Warriors in two of those games. This three-game losing streak would come at the face of two lottery teams from the East.

The Knicks are trying to be on the other end of that sorry achievement tonight. The Knicks also are trying to extend a streak of their own. Tonight, they go for their fourth straight win after starting the season 0-3.

New York cruised to a win thanks to 38 points from Kristaps Porzingis. The Knicks are not a team to take lightly, and Houston will struggle against Porzingis simply because there is not a player that necessarily matches up to him on Houston’s roster. However, there isn’t really a player that matches up to James Harden on the Knicks either.

It should be an exciting game for those not watching the Astros game. So, if you are flipping through channels or devote your fandom to nothing but Rockets, join us in tonight’s thread.
