Houston Rockets vs. Memphis Grizzlies game preview

NBA: Memphis Grizzlies at Houston Rockets Erik Williams-USA TODAY Sports

The Rockets and Grizzlies wrap up their season series just 32 days into the season tonight. Memphis leads the series 2-1 on the back of the first two wins.

Early in the season, Memphis was flying with a new rotation and a departure from the grit-and-grind days of yore. The Rockets were winning, but were missing their star point guard in Chris Paul, which gave the Grizzlies an advantage.

For this fourth and final matchup, the roles have switched a bit. Houston is flying above the clouds after their offense peaked against a hapless Phoenix Suns squad. On the flip side, Memphis is 7-7 and just announced they would be missing Mike Conley due to soreness in his left Achilles and heel. Like the Paul injury, the Grizz have not set a timetable for Conley’s return other than to say there would be an update in a couple of weeks.

Winning in Memphis will still be a tough task, but the Rockets should be the better squad tonight in terms of talent and health, which is not something they have been able to say often in the young season.

Tip-off is at 7pm CT
