Both teams are looking to end five-game losing streaks as 2017 comes to an end.

The Lakers have not won since ending the Rockets 14-game winning streak a week from Wednesday and have dealt with the injury bug. Lonzo Ball is out for the Lakers tonight with a shoulder injury.

Houston will look to bounce back themselves, and will get a huge boost as Clint Capela and Nene will both play tonight. Both sat out Friday’s loss at Washington but will play tonight. Chris Paul is questionable to play with an injury he sustained the last time these two teams met up.

Tonight marks one year since James Harden had arguably the best game in his career as he downed the Knicks with 53 points, 16 rebounds, and 17 assists. Perhaps we could see a repeat of that performance tonight? It would certainly help the Rockets as the team needs to escape this funk they are in.

It’s the longest losing streak the team has experienced since 2013 and tonight would be a great night to reverse the fortunes as the team faces another struggling squad in the Lakers.
