James Harden hasn't been very good since the All-Star break.
His standards are higher than just about any basketball player ever, considering his staggering consistency over the last four years. And he's still been a maestro in Mike D’Antoni’s system.
But he has lacked assertiveness, to say nothing of aggression, in looking for her a own shots. his scoring has flatlined, his shooting had been abysmal and against the Pacers, his teammates finally stopped hitting the shots they were canning against the Wolves and Pelicans.
Tonight against a full-strength Clippers outfit, he needs to be better. The Rockets need more separation between them and tonight’s opponent, and you can bet the Clippers will Ben looking to redeem the 40-point spanking the Rockets laid on them with Blake Griffin and Chris Paul out.
This game is enormous, and I'm confident Harden is up to the task. Because if he isn’t, I’ll have stayed up until 1 a.m. for nothing.
