Game thread: Rockets vs. Lakers

Houston looks to keep a win streak going tonight at home.

NBA: Los Angeles Lakers at Houston Rockets Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports

The Rockets are looking for their third win in a row tonight at the Toyota Center against the Los Angeles Lakers and former Rockets Corey Brewer and Tyler Ennis.

This is the type of a game a team with title aspirations needs to take care of business. The Rockets should be able to make quick work at home of an inferior Lakers squad that’s playing more for the future than for current wins.

I’d like to see a blowout, though not too much of one. It’s the first week of the fantasy basketball playoffs, and I’m already in a steep 6-3 hole. I roll with James Harden, Patrick Beverley and Clint Capela, so the last thing I need is any or all of those guys not playing a full game.

Here’s hoping for a 10-15 point decisive win for Houston that never quite gets out of hand enough to clear the bench.

Water is wet, bears most definitely smash in the woods, and AK is on the preview — here’s to life’s certainties.
