A Rockets season long-since reduced to a blur of record-setting 3s, a rush of wins and a disappointing end received a fitting reminder of what had been on Monday. The NBA's first post-season award show brought the Rockets a slew of awards and honors, but as with the season itself, not the finish they wanted.

Eric Gordon Named NBA Sixth Man of the Year | Houston Rockets
HOUSTON – During tonight’s inaugural NBA Awards on TNT, Houston Rockets guard Eric Gordon was named NBA Sixth Man of the Year as selected by a global panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. He is the first player in franchise history to receive the award.

Mike D’Antoni Named NBA Coach of the Year | Houston Rockets
HOUSTON – During tonight’s inaugural NBA Awards on TNT, Houston Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni was named NBA Coach of the Year for the 2016-17 season as selected by a global panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. He is the third coach in franchise history to win the award, joining Tom Nissalke (1976-77) and Don Chaney (1990-91).
