The Rockets are one game away from having a full squad again. After dealing with injuries to Chris Paul, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, James Harden, and Nene throughout the season, Houston is on the cusp of seeing that finished product since mid-December. And that squad didn’t have Gerald Green.
In fact, only one Rocket has played all 43 games so far: P.J. Tucker. Ironically, the next two guys on the list of most games played are Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon. Neither missed more than 10 games last year, either. Time to go knock on all of the wood ever.
Unfortunately, the Rockets will have to play short-handed one more time, and of course it comes against the defending champions.
Golden State could be down two of their own stars, with Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala listed as day-to-day.
For Houston to have a chance, they will need to shoot 40% from deep and play some great defense. Down their best wing defender and with several rusty rotation players, that’s a tough ask.
Tip-off is at 7:30pm on ABC
