Tonight, the Rockets look to bounce back against a Suns squad that they’ve owned in both previous meetings this season.

Phoenix is certainly a team Houston should beat, but the Suns have big wins over a few playoff teams, including Minnesota (twice), Oklahoma City, and Denver. The point is that Phoenix, behind Devin Booker’s mercurial ability, has the ability to score enough to hang with anyone.

Houston has to learn that they cannot play for 30 minutes and expect to win. Against New Orleans, the Rockets playing hard in the first quarter and then in the last 18 minutes of the contest. NBA teams are too good to be beaten without a full 48 minutes worth of effort. If the Rockets are actually serious about grabbing the top seed in the West (I have my doubts), then they basically cannot lose to anyone except Boston, Toronto, and San Antonio.

Tonight’s a game Houston should win. We’ll see if they come out and play hard for 48 minutes.

Tip-off is at 2:30pm CT on NBA TV
