OK, so now that we’ve gotten the national storyline out of the way, let’s talk about something Rockets fans will appreciate as some food for thought.
The Rockets are looking to bounce back from their horrific opening night loss to the Pelicans, and they get their chance in what will be one of the most hostile environments the Rockets will enter this season.
A lot has changed, but a lot has also stayed the same. The Rockets are still a good team, far better than the Lakers, and tonight they will have their chance to prove that. A loss tonight would not concern me but it will definitely keep me on alert. It is still incredibly early in the season and an 0-2 vs. 1-1 start is not much of a difference.
What we need to see from the Rockets tonight is an improvement from Wednesday. If we can see a glimmer of that, I’ll be hopeful. A win would be nice but I want to see how this team will do over the course of a six-month, 82-game season. Tonight will allow us to look further inside the hour glass if you will.
