Author’s note: I am writing this before the Rockets-Lakers game, so I won’t be leaving any commentary regarding that game.
Tonight marks the first time that the Rockets will play against Patrick Beverley. Last season in his first year outside of Houston, Beverley flashed his trademark hustle and dogged nature, but only played in 11 games before succumbing to a knee injury that required surgery. In the other games against Houston, including the infamous “Tunnel Game,” Beverley was loud and proud on the Clippers bench, barking at the Rockets and encouraging his new teammates to defeat his former ones.
The Clippers are 1-1 in the young season, losing to the Nuggets before beating the Thunder. Both of those games came within the confines of Staples Center, but they head on the road soon. In fact, the Rockets and Clippers will meet up once again on Friday at Toyota Center.
How do you see Houston doing tonight? Can they win on their first back-to-back of the season?
Tip-off is at 8pm CT on NBA TV
