Rockets vs. Clippers - game thread

It’s round two for the Rockets and Clippers.

NBA: Houston Rockets at Los Angeles Clippers Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

It’s the second time in a week for these two teams, and the lineup shuffling continues for the Houston Rockets, who get Chris Paul back tonight from a two-game suspension, but will now be without James Harden, who is slated to miss several games with a hamstring strain.

They’ll take on the Los Angeles Clippers with a new starting lineup tonight, one which features Carmelo Anthony for the first time.

The Rockets made some progress defensively against the Utah Jazz only to falter offensively, and now with the switch-up in lineup again, it’s going to make it more difficult for the team to establish chemistry and rhythm.

No matter, a 1-4 start would put them in an early-season hole, and is certainly not what anyone had in mind for this year, so the Rockets need to find a way to get it done tonight. Sure, they’ve had more than their fair share of injuries already, but the NBA doesn’t care.

I’ll be looking for some fire tonight, hopefully sparked by CP3’s return. Go Rockets!
