Eric Gordon to return to Three-Point Contest

He’ll look to defend his title.

In two weeks, Eric Gordon will look to defend his Foot Locker Three-Point Contest title.

Last year, Gordon won the trophy in his former home at the Smoothie King Center. This year, he’ll look to defend the title in another one of his former homes, the Staples Center.

His opponents this year include first-timers Wayne Ellington of the Miami Heat and Tobias Harris, the newest member of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Other veterans include Suns guard Devin Booker, Heat guard Wayne Ellington, Thunder forward Paul George, Wizards guard Bradley Beal, Raptors guard Kyle Lowry and 2016 champion, Warriors guard Klay Thompson.

Gordon’s biggest competition is probably Thompson, who has competed in each of the last three contests and is the only other former winner in the field.

Gordon will be the only Rocket representative on Saturday night, so hopefully he comes back with the trophy once again.
