Clippers SBNation Blog: Clips Nation
The Rockets have 47 wins this season, but the Clippers are one of six teams that the Rockets have yet to beat. On MLK Day, the Clips got the best of the Harden-less Rockets, and a tunnel-ridden rivalry intensified. However, the two teams that took the court that day are not the same teams taking the court tonight.
Los Angeles traded Blake Griffin in January and are fielding a different type of team that is still incredibly competitive and currently fighting for a playoff spot. The Rockets will have James Harden on the court tonight, but will be without Ryan Anderson and Brandan Wright. However, the team has Joe Johnson to counter and he has been a focal point in his first few Rockets appearances.
So much history has weaved in between these two teams and a lot of animosity boils in the players on the court tonight. It should make for an exciting contest, where the Rockets will look to maintain the top spot in the West and match their longest winning streak of the season at 14.
