Nuggets SBNation Blog: Denver Stiffs

As the Rockets look to inch closer to the Warriors, the Nuggets are the team that stands in their way this evening.

Denver is a scrappy bunch fighting for their first playoff appearance since 2014 and currently sit in the seventh seed in the Western Conference. Potential playoff preview tonight?

The Nuggets have shown signs of strength this season, beating the Warriors and Thunder earlier this month. Denver is a solid team with a bunch of young guards who love to shoot from outside.

Meanwhile, the Rockets are looking for their seventh straight victory as their jump to the top of the West is within reach. Just a single game separates the Rockets from the Warriors going into tonight.

The Rockets are looking to gain some healthy players back. Eric Gordon, Trevor Ariza, and Ryan Anderson all sat out Wednesday’s win in Miami. Nene also played both games of this previous back-to-back, so sitting him for tonight’s contest is a possibility. We’re probably going to see another show-stopping performance from James Harden and/or Chris Paul, and that’s always fun.

Check out AK’s preview and enjoy the game!
