There hasn’t been much fanfare this year, but Houston Rockets Media Day is coming up this Monday, September 24.
According to NBA.com, the Rockets are not currently scheduled to live stream their media day, as they’ve done in years past, but we’re still going to have some coverage here at TDS, so make sure you check in on Monday, where we’ll do our best to give you some quotes, tweets, and videos.
After Media Day, training camp begins on Tuesday, September 25, and then the Rockets open their preseason schedule on the following Tuesday, October 2 against the Memphis Grizzlies in the BBVA Compass Iron City Showdown in Birmingham, Ala.
The Rockets play five preseason games total, also matching up against the Indiana Pacers on October 4, the San Antonio Spurs on October 7, the Shanghai Sharks on October 9, and the Grizzlies again on October 12.
The regular season then starts on October 16, and the Rockets open up the following night at home against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Rejoice, Rockets fans. Basketball is finally upon us.
