Training camp is only a day old, but the Houston Rockets already have three members of their training camp roster currently on the shelf. According to the Houston Chronicle’s Jonathan Feigen, rookie small forward Vincent Edwards is out with a left adductor strain. He’s currently listed as day-to-day.
In addition, center/forward Zhou Qi will miss at least the entire first week with an ankle sprain, and as we all know already, newly acquired guard Brandon Knight will be out at a minimum through the entire preseason after knee surgery.

While it’s certainly not ideal to have three members of the roster down before things even really get moving, especially while also incorporating a new defensive coach in Roy Rogers, it’s at least not any of the primary rotation players. And it sounds like both Edwards and Qi shouldn’t miss a lot of time.
But if any of these guys are going to make an impact this season, you’d like to see them back on the court sooner rather than later.
