After that Golden State game, I would be okay with Houston not playing for another week or so.
Still, the beat marches on.
The Rockets will catch a break tonight, as the Portland Trail Blazers played last night against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The rest advantage will be nice for Houston as they will try to overcome the homecourt advantage that the Blazers have at the Rose Garden (miss me with that Moda Center crap).
This marks the last meeting between these two teams. The teams split the first two games in Houston, so Portland should feel pretty good with the rubber match at home. With the West as crowded as ever, having that tiebreaker could be pretty huge in April.
Expect Nene to get plenty of minutes tonight, especially with how Portland is willing to put two of Jusuf Nurkic, Meyers Leonard, and Zach Collins on the court at the same time. Houston should be able to play enough small ball to force Portland into a more traditional lineup, but not many teams have the size advantage that Portland boasts.
Houston will once again be without the services of Eric Gordon and Chris Paul. Portland is fully healthy.
Tip-off is at 9pm CT
