The Houston Rockets and Gerald Green received some bad news earlier this week about Green missing several months of action with a broken foot, and now that news has gone from bad to worse.
Shams Charania, who had the original report about Green’s injury, is now saying that the Rockets expect Green to miss the entire season.
The Rockets fear that Gerald Green's broken foot is worse than initially expected and fear he'll miss the season, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

That’s bad news for a team looking to compete for a title, but as we alluded to in the earlier report, at least the Rockets have some depth this season. I’m sure GM Daryl Morey will, as always, be looking for some type of upgrade once the season starts as well. But for now, it’s next man up. Some come on down, Ben McLemore, Danuel House, and Thabo Sefolosha. Your minutes just got bumped up. Keep an eye on Chris Clemons too.
With Gerald Green on a one-year deal, who knows what this does to his career. Foot injuries are notoriously difficult to come back from. Keep your head up, Gerald. Here’s hoping to see you back on the Toyota Center hardwood.
