Rockets vs. Clippers - game thread

Aloha, Rockets!

NBA: Houston Rockets at Los Angeles Clippers Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

It’s a strange time for a Houston Rockets game, airing tonight at midnight CST on NBA-TV against the Los Angeles Clippers. The game’s being played in Honolulu, Hawaii, as AK mentioned in his preview earlier today.

It’s the second of six preseason games for the Rockets, who are coming off of a blow out victory over the Shanghai Sharks in game one. This should be a much more significant test of where the Rockets are at right now.

Houston will still be without Russell Westbrook, as he works himself back from offseason knee surgery, Nene is also out, along with Anthony Bennett, who is scheduled for an arthroscopic knee procedure, and Michael Frazier, who is battling an ankle sprain. Shamorie Ponds is expected back in the lineup tonight.

If we can manage to stay awake, we’ll have a game recap for you later. If not, we’ll be watching it on DVR in the morning.

Go Rockets!
