FanPulse results: Rockets fan confidence high

Our first Rockets survey is in!

NBA: Memphis Grizzlies at Houston Rockets Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

This is our second week of FanPulse results. We shared our first poll last week, where our voters picked an MVP, NBA Champions, and Rookie of the Year. Now, this week, we had one national question for all of our FanPulse participants and one team-related question.

First, to the national results, where the question of the week dealt with NBA parity versus super teams, and the results are a little surprising, in my opinion.

Considering the NBA has flirted with super teams many times throughout league history — the Bill Russell Boston Celtics, The Showtime Lakers, the Larry Bird Celtics, The Lebron-Wade-Bosh big three in Miami, the recent Golden State Warriors — I thought that would be a little bit higher to be honest.

We also have some local results to post, and those come from asking our Rockets FanPulse participants about their confidence in the direction of the team. It came back relatively high, as expected.

The Rockets have been far from perfect thus far in this NBA season. There are currently major questions about their defense and bench depth, but at the moment, they are winning and showing enough signs that fan confidence should remain high unless they start losing.

We’re still looking for a few more participants for our FanPulse project. The bigger sample size of Rockets fans, the more accurate our picture of what’s going on in our community. So if you want to be part of our FanPulse project and answer a quick, anonymous survey each week about your favorite team, SIGN UP HERE.

We’ll continue to post our results each week.
