Full disclosure: I’m writing this before Houston takes on the Orlando Magic, so if anything wild happened in that game I won’t be mentioning it.
The Rockets return to Houston for the second night of a back-to-back against the Detroit Pistons at Toyota Center. The Pistons played Thursday night in Mexico City and lost against the Dallas Mavericks. They gave up a 40-point triple-double to Luka Doncic.
The Pistons are 10-15 and sitting just a couple of games outside of the playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. They are led by Andre Drummond, who is averaging 18/17 and Derrick Rose, who’s averaging 16/6 on 49% shooting. Blake Griffin has gotten off to a rough start, but he usually brings his A game against the Rockets.
Houston has a big game coming up against the San Antonio Spurs with revenge on the line Monday, but it’s important for the Rockets to play the team in front of them.
Tip-off is at 8pm CT
