This is the Rockets last game before a much needed All Star Break. After said break Clint Capela will return, perhaps the Rockets will sign Markieff Morris. Austin Rivers’ shooting may improve with some rest for his injured extremity.
Often this sort of game is sloppy. This one might be as well, as players have vacation on their minds. But the Rockets should have other things on their minds as well. This is a chance to march up the standings one notch if they win and Portland falls to Golden State.
Normally I’d always pick the Wolves to be more mentally unavailable than the Rockets, but this year? Who knows. It’s a Spring Break kind of feeling for the NBA.
At some point we’ll see a whole Rockets team. Soon.
