NBA All Star Game Night

You can make them pick teams, but can you make them play defense?

The NBA All Star Game will be held tonight in Charlotte. Team Lebron faces off again Team Giannis. The captains, Lebron and Giannis chose these squads. It is an interesting contrast of players.

Team Lebron

Lebron James

Jame Harden

Kevin Durant

Kyrie Irving

Kawhi Leonard

Anthony Davis

Lamarcus Aldridge

Bradley Beal

Ben Simmons

Damien Lillard

Klay Thompson

Karl Anthony Towns

Dwyane Wade

Team Giannis

Giannis Antetokoumpo

Stephen Curry

Joel Embiid

Paul George

Kemba Walker

Blake Griffin

Nicola Jokic

Kyle Lowry

Khris Middleton

Dirk Nowitzki

D’Angelo Russell

Nicola Vucevic

Russell Westbrook

This game has been portrayed as a clash of styles, where Lebron obviously picked the superior team, one with a ton more shooting. While this is true, no one plays any defense in the All-Star Game, so it may be more interesting than people think, with the collection of bigs available to Team Greek Freak. Also, Team Freak has more shooting than you might think, despite Team Moghul having a side I’d think would do better in a hypothetical playoff series.

From a Rockets point of view, I’d prefer James Harden would rest. But he won’t. And he hasn’t been resting in Charlotte. The traits that make the hero the hero are also his tragic flaws.
