Chris Chiozza is an undrafted rookie from Florida, who might best be known for his half-court buzzer beater in the Sweet 16 against Wisconsin in 2017.
Chiozza made one appearance for the Wizards this season, but has played plenty for the Capital City Go-Go, the Wizards’ expansion G-League affiliate.
He has averaged 13.1 points per game and 6.8 assists per game in 36 games for Capital City this season.
Ever since Terrence Jones left the Rockets in 2016, he has bounced around from the NBA to the G-League, and even had a stint in China.
He played with the Santa Cruz Warriors in 2017 and with the Erie BayHawks this season, averaging 23.5 points per game.
Former TDS’er and current Athletic writer Kelly Iko says that both of the newest Rockets will start out their contracts in Rio Grande Valley with the Vipers.
Both Chris Chiozza and Terrance Jones will start out with the Vipers for evaluation purposes, with the potential for future contracts, league sources tell The Athletic.
