What team will get the best shot at Zion Williamson?

A lot is at stake tonight. Bad teams will have a chance at being slightly less bad teams as the bottom 14 franchises will anxiously await to see who gets the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and the best shot at potentially drafting Zion Williamson.

The top five teams with the best odds at No. 1 are the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Phoenix Suns -all with a 14-percent chance- the Chicago bulls with a 12.5-percent chance, and the Atlanta Hawks with a 10.5-percent chance.

Southwest Division rivals, the Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies both have a six-percent chance at No. 1 and a 26.3-percent chance at landing a top-four pick. For the Mavericks, anything higher than a No. 5 pick means they’ll have to relinquish their pick to the Atlanta Hawks via the Luka Doncic trade last draft.

The New York are reportedly ready to shop the No. 1 pick, given that they win, for an Anthony Davis trade. It would be hard to blame them, either. While having bright, young talent is great, wouldn’t you take the Cavaliers-Andrew Wiggins route and get guaranteed talent? Especially if you’re landing Kyrie Irving and/or Kevin Durant.

Some homework for you:

Who do you expect to get No. 1 tonight?

Who do you want to see get No. 1?

Would you trade the first pick for Anthony Davis?

If the Knicks win, is it immediately a conspiracy?

Are you immediately taking Zion No. 1? Or does it depend on the team?

Which team with high odds would you love to see drop low? (I don’t care if that’s petty.)

Which team with low odds would you love to see go high?
