For the Houston Rockets the season most likely comes down to this game. Win this one, and the next in Houston, and it’s a best of three series. Lose, and the Rockets need to somehow win four in a row against Golden State.
Whatever happened in game one, or game two, is history. Painful, aggravating, but done. The only reasonable way forward for the 2018-19 Houston Rockets, in a season marked by both struggle and brilliance, is to win tonight in Houston.
For the eager, interested and perhaps doomed, the referee assignment is: Capers, Goble, Wright and Lindsay. Goble stands out a little as the Rockets seem to have had a tough run with him reffing this season. But much of that was in the period where the Rockets were more or less awful, so it’s not by any means clear cut, and he’s not the crew chief.
For the Rockets, Clint Capela needs to have a big game, James Harden needs to find Super Harden again, and the Rockets roleplayers need to play their roles to the hilt.
So anyhow, let’s hope for a clear Rockets win, free of controversy, injuries and other tedious things.
