4 games into the Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors series, and we already have a prominent trend: the home team wins close games.
That’s obviously a good thing for the Rockets, who will look to defend their home court yet again after their big win in OT on Saturday. In Game 3, we saw an much-need superstar performance by the one-eyed bandit, James Harden, an incredible supporting game by Eric Gordon, and important role performances from P.J. Tucker, Iman Shumpert, and Austin Rivers.
What I would really love to see this game is a breakout performance by Chris Paul and Clint Capela. There’s been a lot of focus around the play, or lack thereof, from Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, that people are forgetting that the Rockets are keeping the series interesting without their second and third best players stepping up. Also, Houston could really benefit from either Danuel House Jr. or Gerald Green asserting themselves into this game. Yeah, they might be on limited minutes, but that’s the best time to make the most out of playing time.
Whose role is most important tonight? Tucker on Kevin Durant? Eric Gordon staying hot? Capela going hard down low? Give us your take and keep up with the conversation during Game 4 here in the comments.
Last, but certainly not least, LET’S GO ROCKETS!
