The start of the 2019 Summer League is finally here, and the Houston Rockets are set to begin the mid-summer classic against their in-state rival, the Dallas Mavericks. Despite not selecting a single player in this year’s draft, there is still a lot to be excited for the Rockets in Las Vegas.

This year’s summer league squad will be headlined by second-year forward, Gary Clark, and G-League Finals MVP, Isaiah Hartenstein. After both saw little playing time in Houston this past season, this will be an important summer for Clark and Hartenstein as they try to make the Rockets 12-man roster in October.

For their opponents, the Mavericks come into Saturday’s game with one win under their belt. Dallas came away victorious in their Summer League opener in a 96-92 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. The Mavericks were led by a phenomenal performance by Antonius Cleveland, who recorded 22 points, 5 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists in the win.

Editor’s note: Coty’s in Vegas, y’all. Watching these guys up close. Looking forward to the recaps!
