Times are tough in Mudville, er, Houston right now as the city is still reeling from a 24-0 collapse by the Texans and the sign-stealing scandal by the Astros. Meanwhile, even the Rockets are reeling after dropping their last two contests in games where the good guys played with a distinct lack of intensity.
The Rockets will get a chance to turn around their fortunes when they welcome LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers to the Toyota Center for a nationally televised contest against the prohibitive favorites in the Western Conference.
Houston is a mess right now and their upcoming schedule does them no favors. The Lakers are the superior team and I think they’ll be excited to show that to a big audience. Even if Houston doesn’t escape with a win, it would be nice to see the team playing with a bit more intensity.
Tip-off is at 7:30pm CT on ABC
