Two of the biggest names that have been in the rumors for the Houston Rockets and their coaching search are Tyronn Lue and Jeff Van Gundy. They’ve both been linked since the job became available, and now we have confirmation that sit downs with the team are imminent.
According to Marc Stein, the Rockets will interview both Lue and Van Gundy this coming week, along with current Houston player development coach John Lucas (which we reported earlier).
Ty Lue is scheduled to interview with the Rockets early next week for Houston's coaching vacancy, league sources say

Also expected in Houston in the near future: Interviews for current Rockets staffer John Lucas and ESPN's Jeff Van Gundy (who calls Game 5 of the Finals tonight)
Lue was the former coach of the Cleveland LeBrons from 2016-2018 and has one title under his belt, while Van Gundy coached the Rockets once before from 2003-2007 and the New York Knicks from 1996-2001. Lue actually played under Van Gundy for Houston back in 2004.
Both have been among the odds-on favorites to win the coaching job, though the fan base is probably pretty split among them, with my guess that of the three interviews this week, Lucas is probably third. Let’s find out!
