The James Harden rumor mill continues to churn.
And to nobody’s surprise, Daryl Morey wishes to acquire the player that “changed his life.”
"I'm told Philadelphia is expected to be interested in and pursue James Harden"

Our NBA Insider @ShamsCharania reports a Harden move for Houston is currently a non-starter. pic.twitter.com/7JaZH69WLt
Harden will be 31 this upcoming season and going for his fourth consecutive scoring title. He’s also finished first, second or third in the MVP voting in the past five seasons and has two years left on his contract.
How do you even think about trading a guy like that away?
The Rockets, thankfully, appear uninterested in any type of move involving James Harden because they still value contending.
Tilman Fertitta has stated in numerous interviews that the team believes it is still in their contending window, so why would you trade your best player if you are still looking to contend?
If Harden had stated any discontent about playing in Houston, I’d be more likely to understand. However, he’s established a home in Houston, has one of his best friends playing alongside him, and the team hired a new coach that should continue to stretch out the prime of his career.
I think it’s safe to chuck this rumor into the trash for exactly what it is — a rumor.
