The Houston Rockets have whittled their roster down to 17 and play their final preseason game tonight against the San Antonio Spurs. This is the final tune-up before the regular season begins Wednesday, December 23 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Rockets fans finally got a look at James Harden with their new-look roster, and they may get their first look at Christian Wood tonight. Wood is questionable with an elbow injury once again, but the Rockets seem confident that he will be ready when the games actually matter.

As with all preseason games, the biggest thing tonight is to avoid injuries. The Rockets lost Chris Clemons to an Achilles injury on Tuesday. Now the team has to hope they can escape tonight unscathed. Two years ago Dejounte Murray tore his ACL in a preseason game between the Rockets and Spurs. So maybe Houston and San Antonio should stop playing each other in the preseason forever.

Tip-off is at 7pm CT on AT&T SportsNet Southwest
