Tonight will be the last NBA basketball game played for the next three days until the league returns to action on Thursday, including a Houston Rockets-Golden State Warriors matchup.
Of course, we’re talking about the polarizing All-Star Game. For many, it’s a game that people tune in to just to witness some teammates pairings that we would otherwise never see, and of course there’s also the chance of flashy highlights. For others, it’ll be a game that’s often be easy to criticize for lack of “competition” or any real gamesmanship.
That being said, tonight’s game will most likely carry a different weight seeing as it is the first All-Star Game since Kobe Bryant’s passing. Of course, Kobe was lauded so much for his competitive streak during this exhibition game that Adam Silver renamed the All-Star Game MVP award the “Kobe Bryant” award. It’ll be interesting to see how players will respond to the fact that they could be the first one to earn this newly named trophy.
What do you want to see from tonight’s game? Given their regular season workload, do you want James Harden and Russell Westbrook to show out or get their rest? Who do you have winning MVP? Which new All-Star do you expect to surprise some people? What changes to the All-Star Game do you not like? What changes would you like to see made?
Join us here, live, during the game to discuss.
Last, but not least, LET’S GO, TEAM LEBRON!
