As the world sits in anticipation waiting patiently for the impending July 30 resumption of the NBA season, Rockets GM Daryl Morey gave fans another reason to itch for its return.
On this morning’s edition of “First Things First” on FS1 with Jenna Wolfe, Morey gave a miniature analysis of his team and the current state the NBA is in. The Rockets GM placed lofty expectations and comparisons on his team, comparing them to the 65-win 2018 squad, a team just one win away from the NBA Finals.

Morey also spoke on the current situation the league is in regarding restarting in the Orlando bubble and the pressure the team is facing as it looks onto the season.
“It’s basketball pressure,” Morey said. “[The Rockets] have two of the greatest players ever on our team. We should win this thing.”
The Rockets currently sit in sixth place in the West but could move up to as high as the second seed during the final eight games of the regular season. The last time a team seeded sixth or worse won the NBA Finals came back 25 years ago when the Rockets pulled off the improbable.
Is this a sign of history repeating itself?
