SB Nation Reacts: Rockets are serious contenders

Our fan poll is back.

With the season restart just a week away now, we also have the return of our SB Nation Reacts fan poll, where we had a slew of questions this week, both Houston Rockets-related and league-wide. So let’s get right to the results.

The first question asked all of our survey participants if the NBA was right to re-open the season, and 64 percent were in favor of the restart.

Secondly, we asked our league-wide responders who they thought were having the most fun in the bubble. Somehow, the Dallas Mavericks came out on top, though I suspect it will be short-lived until the Rockets show them who’s boss in their bubble opener on July 31.

Our third question focuses on Damian Lillard’s suite controversy. Because of the wide range in quality/price point of the hotel rooms on Disney’s campus, it was inevitable that some players would receive better rooms than others. How exactly rooms were assigned and the protocol for that I’m not sure, but a social media picture outside Lillard’s extra fancy presidential suite had the name of the suite photoshopped out. It was reported as a mistake, but 63 percent of NBA fans think the NBA did this on purpose.

And finally, for our Rockets question of the week, we asked our voters if they thought of Houston as a legitimate title contender, and a perfect 100 percent of respondents said yes.

The Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, and Milwaukee Bucks were the only three teams in the league with a 100 percent vote, though I’d also throw the Los Angeles Clippers in with that group. We won’t have long to wait and see, as the NBA restarts a week from today, while the Rockets restart in eight days.
