Thursday, February 6 marked the last time the Houston Rockets squared-off against the Los Angeles Lakers. Inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the Rockets came away with a 121-111 victory in their debut of small-ball. Russell Westbrook — who is averaging 38.0 points per game against the Lakers — scored 41 points, while Robert Covington added in 14 points and two blocks in his debut with the Rockets.
The Lakers are coming in tonight’s game following a 105-86 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. Despite holding the league’s second-best record, Los Angeles is currently 2-2 during the NBA seeding games.
