Houston Rockets (4-9) vs. Detroit Pistons (3-11), Friday, January 22, 2021, 6:00 p.m. CDT

Location: Little Caesar’s Arena, Detroit, MI

TV: AT&T SportsNet

Radio: SportsTalk790

Online: Rockets App

Pistons SB Nation Blog: Detroit Bad Boys

Projected Starting Lineups

Rockets: Eric Gordon, Victor Oladipo, Jae’Sean Tate, P.J. Tucker, DeMarcus Cousins

Pistons: Delon Wright, Wayne Ellington, Jerami Grant, Blake Griffin, Mason Plumlee

In terms of winning percentage, the Rockets and Pistons are part of the bottom three in the NBA. The Rockets rank 28th and the Pistons rank dead last. However, one of these teams has to win tonight.

It will be hard for the Rockets to achieve that with John Wall (knee) missing his fifth straight game and with Christian Wood (ankle) out for today’s contest. DeMarcus Cousins draws his second start of the season in Wood’s place and Eric Gordon will be tasked with filling Wall’s vacancy in the starting lineup. Expect more minutes tonight for Mason Jones in the backcourt and Rodions Kurucs, the only Rockets reserve standing above 6’8”, against a long Pistons team.
