Rockets to start Alperen Sengun in final preseason game against the Spurs

The Houston Rockets will close out their four-game preseason schedule in final dress rehearsal against the San Antonio Spurs.

After falling to the Toronto Raptors on Monday, the Houston Rockets will close out their four-game preseason schedule tonight against the San Antonio Spurs. In the absence of Daniel Theis, the Rockets will start rookie Alperen Sengun while moving Christian Wood to the center position.

During his pre-game media availability, coach Stephen Silas said he expects to play his starters for about 30 minutes.

For San Antonio, the Spurs come into tonight’s game following a 101-100 loss to the Orlando Magic on Sunday. Dejounte Murray led the team with 18 points and five rebounds in the preseason loss.
