Tonight, idols will become rivals as the Houston Rockets lineup against the new-look Los Angeles Lakers for the first time this season.

The lone Rocket listed on the injury report outside of John Wall is Danuel House Jr which means you can expect to see Kevin Porter Jr back on the hardwood tonight after an ankle injury forced him to exit Thursday’s battle against the Utah Jazz early.

Houston has been pioneered by Christian Wood who is averaging 19.8 points per game along with 11.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists. In their 116-106 loss to Dallas, Wood became the first player in the league’s history to open the first four games of a season by scoring 83 total points, pulling down 49 rebounds, dishing out 8 assists, sending away 4 blocks, and drilling 10 threes - granted, those are very specific numbers but that’s what stats are for.

Los Angeles will come into the game looking to find balance and while they have seen big nights from each of their three stars, they statistically are led by Anthony Davis who is averaging 26.2 points per outing along with 11.2 rebounds.

In their most recent outing, the Lakers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 113-101 with help from a 26 point outing by LeBron James. That game also saw a big performance from Carmelo Anthony who scored 24 points off the bench.
